New Years Eve in Lucerne or Bern?

If you have to choose between Lucerne or Bern to spend New Years Eve.

Which one would be a better choice for fireworks and some kind of celebration?

I been to both cities, but not on New Year's Eve. Of the two, I'd probably lean towards Luzern. However I'd probably check to find out what type of celebrations are typically held on New Years in each city.
