1 day touring Switzerland?

Hello. I am flying in to Zurich in a few weeks with 1 day to fit in as much as possible before a work meeting the next day. I have been to Zurich before so not looking to spend any time there. I land at 8a so my initial thoughts are to take the 9:30a train to Bern (after dropping my bags at the airport hotel) to explore a few hours and then head somewhere early afternoon (Thun?, Lauterbrunnen?) before heading back to Zurich later that night around 8-9p. Just looking for suggested itineraries where I can maximize the limited time I have and get back to Zurich later that evening.

I am used to traveling quickly and know trying to fit in a lot in 1 day is not everyone's cup of tea but I'm up for the challenge given the time constraints I have. I don't need to see museums and such; just get a feel for the town, grab some food/drink, and move on to the next.

I also have purchased the SBB Save Day Pass for the trains already for that day. Thanks!

The Saver Day Pass covers the Rigi, so that is maybe an idea too. You could do Bern - Interalken - Luzern - Rigi - back to Zurich...
