Eddie, did you visit the Chaplins' home and museum? I was hoping to visit this spring but we just didn't have enough time.

I did not see the Chaplin museum either. I did not have the time and was not particularly interested. Maybe next time.

I am interested so maybe I'll try to fit it in next year. Thanks.

Darcy, I enjoyed visiting the Chaplin's World museum in Corsier this past July. It was very well done and loads of fun. The funniest movie clips played throughout the complex and kept me laughing the whole visit. I recommend it, even though it's not covered by the museum pass or Swiss Travel Pass.

You can take the train to Vevey and change to the 212 bus near the station. Take the bus to the "Chaplin" stop.
As you arrive at the museum, you can make a reservation for later at their elegant outdoor cafe for lunch. (There's also an inexpensive snack bar next to it.) Then visit the mansion and park-like estate grounds with a view across Lake Geneva (Lac Leman) to the snow-capped mountains beyond. Don't miss visiting the "Studio." There, you watch a presentation in a theater, and then the theater opens and you get to walk up onstage to look at a labyrinth of behind-the-scenes displays, full of more clips from his movies that make you burst out laughing.

Thanks, Linda! I will definitely put it on my list of travel dreams. I don't think I'll be able to get there this spring unless I extend my trip but I'll make a point to fit it in next time!
