Anyone ever used Bnb Switzerland to book a room?. It looks great and one of the Appenzell picks by Rick Steves HausLydia is on this site but the site seems fairly new. I'm looking at some pretty amazing places to stay near Vevey, Lausanne Switzerland. Any suggestions would be great!! Thanks!

I stayed in Appenzel some yrs ago,and was pleased with our stay at Haus Lydia. However i always reserve direct and not thru an internet booking service. The area of interest u mention LAusanne and nrby is quite lovely and usually upscale. I would still book direct and ck tripadvisor for reviews.

I agree with JS - if you know where you want to stay, e-mail the property directly. I found this particularly true for Switzerland; hotels did not show all available rooms, even on their own websites (not third parties like Booking dot com). However, by e-mailing, I got the rooms I needed, and by mentioning that I found them in Rick's book, two of the three gave me a slight discount!
