Hello,
Need recommendations on one night hotel accommodation in Zurich July 2. Should we stay close to airport for quick flight accessibility? Looking for any suggestions. Thank you.

The night before flying back to the states from Zurich, we like to stay at the Ibis Budget Zurich Airport. It's on the tram line to/from the airport. The tram stop is about 100 yards from the hotel. Very short ride to ZRH. It's pretty inexpensive (for Switzerland), good breakfast. Rooms very small, but very clean and nice. If you're there early, you could take the tram/train all the way to Zurich, but we usually just take the tram to nearby Glattbrugg for a meal.

You don't have to stay close to the airport if you don't want to. It's certainly doable and easy to stay in the city center within a 10-15 minute walk of HBF, which has multiple direct trains to the airport from early in the morning. It all depends what you want to to the night before your departure, time of flight departure, etc.

Highly recommend the Hyatt Place at the Circle. We walked with our luggage in tow from the hotel to the airport just across the street. Worked great for our early morning departure. Great sushi restaurant adjacent to the hotel.
