Montreux BnB

We stayed in Montreux for two nights at the Belalp Bnb. It's located off the lakefront, up on the hill a short but walkable distance from the lake. We actually walked from the main train station there, but that was a bit far, weighed down with our packs. During the week, there is a bus (209) that goes right to it from the main street in town, so there is no reason to walk up the hill if you don't want to. The room was large enough for three adults and very comfortable. What made this BnB really stand out was the host. Yves was there every morning with endless coffee and a light breakfast, which is all we wanted anyway. Beyond these basics, he was a fountain of information and extremely hospitable. He talked to us about the town and extensively about the Montreux Jazz Festivals, which he has seen over the years there. The local cheese making is something he is familiar with and had some good info on that. He gave us several good suggestions on places to visit and how to get there. We enjoyed our stay there very much and would stay there again.
