We can't say enough about Hotel Tannenhof in Zermatt. This is a basic European hotel. What makes it a cut above the rest is the owner, Christiane. She welcomed us into her hotel also explained different sightseeing options. But the best was Christiane serving our breakfast the next morning. As she says, with love, she makes Birchermuesli - a yummy mixture of fresh yogurt, fresh fruit, and juice soaked oats. The meal also includes several fresh cheeses, delicious bread , assorted meats, yogurt, cold cereals and other goodies. If you're in Zermatt, stop and see Christiane! She is sure to be your new best friend!
