We are wondering if anyone has stayed at Hotel Kreuz in Bern because we are thinking of booking there. We are looking for a place that is relatively quiet, in a pleasant area with nice people working there, and is under a mile from the train station and the old town.
Any other Bern recommendations?

We had a nice stay at Botique Hotel Belle Epoque, Gerechtigkeitsgasse 18, Bern.
It was just a Trolley/shuttle bus straight to the train station. The Trolley/shuttle bus runs back and forth all day down the middle of the street. It's wonderful.

We stayed there for 2 nights in Sept. 2023. The location was great, very walkable to the train station and everything else. The room was one of the smallest we've stayed in, just barely enough room for the 2 of us, with a bed, small closet, and small desk with a small chair. Had a hard time figuring out where to put our carry-on size suitecases. But everyone was very nice, the room was very clean and the bed comfortable. There was some street noise periodically at night from late-night revelers walking by who may have had a few too many, and the delivery trucks stopping at nearby shops at 6am, as would be true on any main street.
