Hotel in Basel end of November

Hi,
I would appreciate a recommendation for a hotel in Basel. Will be arriving by train from Lucerne.
I thank you in advance.

There are several hotels in the immediate area of the train station, and it is not a bad area at all. We stayed at Hotel Gaia which was fine,, but next time we might try Hotel Euler ( based on location). There are 3-4 others, and all looked nice. Basel is a city we need to go back to. We did not have time to see museums.

I usually like to stay at a place with local charm. In Basel, because of great location, price and availability of AC, we stayed at MotelOne and were absolutely delighted with our spacious, spotless room and very helpful employees. So not what I'd consider "local charm", but the hotel was newly remodeled and contemporary in decor. We found the "local charm" in the location which was close to the Munster and in the town center.

I'm seeing that you probably are not getting the feedback you'd like. I think this category is to provide a review after a trip. You might want to put your question under Destination Q & A

I haven't answered before as, living here, I have no experience of hotels in Basel. Do you want a large chain hotel, or something smaller?
All hotels in Basel and surrounding area are on the official website here: https://www.basel.com/en
You can do a bit of browsing on that site. I would recommend to staying a hotel in Basel city, not the suburbs. Outside Basel may be cheaper, but you would waste time and money getting into the city. All hotels in Basel city give you a pass for free transport for the duration of your stay (it's the law).

For shear convenience, there are 4 hotels immediately in front of the station: Gaia, Victoria, Schweizerhof and Euler.
Plenty of other good ones, up to the 5* "Trois Rois" which claims to date from 1681.
