Has anyone been to the Mövenpick Wein-Bar in Zurich?

We will be spending one night in Zurich before our flight home. Our “go-to” restaurant for dinner in Zurich has been Mère Catherine for years. But their menu and prices no longer appeal to us. We prefer more bistro-style places, or tapas or wine bars with lighter food, when we are anywhere but Italy. And on this occasion we will have just spent 2 weeks in Italy, so no need to comfort ourselves with more of that.

Looking around at wine bars in Zurich I came across the Mövenpick Wein-Bar which is close to our hotel, and has an appealing menu.

I know Mövenpick is not known for gourmet quality, but I am wondering if anyone here has tried this place?

I other words, while I am not writing a review, I am looking for someone else to write one, so posting in this section.

I'm far from a gourmet, but I've always loved Movenpick. I can't remember whether I've been to one in Zurich. If so, it wasn't a wine bar, but I'll be interested to see what replies you get.

Well, it turns out this one is closed on Sunday, which is the day we will be there. So now I am back in the hunt for a nice casual tapas bar kind of place where we can enjoy a light dinner on a Sunday night. Or a bistro or gastropub type place that offers nice salads with added protein (chicken or prawns, for example). Or Flamkuchen like the Mövenpick menu has.

This will be our last night of the trip, after 3 weeks in Switzerland and Italy, so we will had plenty of Swiss and Italian specialities.
