Gimmelwald: Olle & Maria's B&B

I just wrapped up a relaxing week in their studio apartment and have only great things To report. Big fluffy quilts, a large common room, a back porch with the Jungfrau and Breithorn in your face, and a front porch to watch goats and people are what you can expect.

O and M are attentive and friendly hosts. They can advise you on any hiking trail in the area. This was my third visit with them and I look forward to returning.

Hi,

Can you indicate costs. Is late September and early October a good idea here. Thanks in anticipation. Regards.

One week cost 1330 SF for the studio. I have not visited the area in the autumn but it is also a fine time to visit from what I hear.

Hello FastEddie

I realize this was your 3rd visit to the area, but is it difficult to get to from the Lauterbrannen train station with luggage? does the B&B provide breakfast and does it have proximity to other places to eat/buy food? Thank you.

Marie, the ease of your transport would most certainly depend on the amount of luggage you bring. From Lauterbrunnen station you would walk across the street and catch the Post Bus that will deliver you to the Schilthornbahn (gondola station) in Stechelberg. You will disembark at the first stop which is Gimmelwald. The next stop is Murren and then it goes on up to Birg and the finally to the Schilthorn.

We visited the area (stayed in Mürren, walked down to Gimmelwald) in September 2016, and it was gorgeous except for one foggy day.
