Geneva May 2027

We enjoyed stays at both ends of our Switzerland trip this summer at Hotel d'Alleves in Geneva. Walking distance to the train station. Quiet. Very kind service. Excellent breakfast. We didn't spend that much time in the city, and it was sooooo hot, but we did especially enjoy the small Museum of the Reformation. It's just next to the cathedral.

We stayed at The Warwick Hotel across from the train station and took the tram directly to the UN for a tour.
Booking the tour was a bit complicated, as the UN was being updated and few tours were offered last October.

There was also construction at the end of the tram line. The main entrance to the UN is actually up the hill, across from the Red Crescent building. The tour was outstanding.

You'll get a free public transport pass with your hotel booking, and there are some
nice hotels near the train station, so, if you're content with those options, getting
around is fairly easy since many buses and trams come through the station at
Cornavin bahnhof.
