Best Hotel in Geneva for tourism

With your preference for 4 or 5-star hotels, I'd look first at www.viamichelin.com. Other hotel booking sites might help you find any special prices available. However, if you want specific amenities in the room, then booking directly with the hotel web site might be more reliable.

Our favorite is the 5-star Hotel d'Angleterre. www.dangleterrehotel.com We LOVE the presidential suite but every room and suite is gorgeous, comfortable, and elegant. The entire staff is classy and eager to help you with anything you need. They have all the amenities you could want. Also, the food is so good. It is in a good location for vacationing. If you stay there, you'll never want to leave! We make a point of having their afternoon tea every single day we stay!

I had a nice hotel in Geneva a couple of years ago at a very cheap price. For 4 days we left Geneva for day trips.

Although we enjoyed various things around Lac Leman, the only thing - yes really - that we enjoyed in Geneva itself was the Manora restaurant just over the road from the main train station.

Oh, and riding out to the airport and having a look around. We got a little snack there and went back.

Well it depends on a lot of things especially your reason for wanting to be there in the first place. So you make what you will of it. We've been to Geneva for a few days several times in good weather to see a variety of things in the city and surrounding area: CERN, WHO, WCC, the science museum, Reformation history sites, boat rides on the lake, Annecy, Chamonix etc. We don't know why this person who asked a straightforward question is "stuck" in Geneva.

If you want to see Switzerland then get out of Geneva.
