Your experiences with Stockholm-Arlanda Airport?

Hello everyone,

Basically, I am wondering how fast security, customs, etc. went for you when you were at this airport. I have a flight coming in from California at 5:00 pm and am trying to get off that plane and onto an Air France flight to Paris that leaves at 7:25 pm. I have no checked bags and I am assuming I can get my boarding pass on my phone. Do you think this is feasible?

Yes, that's possible even if the first flight is delayed by an hour. I often use Arlanda from the US and it usually takes less than an hour to get through immigration and change terminals. It's not a large airport.

Thank you!! I emailed the airport and they said what you said as well, but I wanted to hear from people who had experienced it firsthand. Much appreciated

I've flown into Arlanda many times and have never encountered long immigration lines. There are multiple terminals, but each is fairly small. I'd check to see what terminals your flights use, but 2.5 hours is more than adequate for a connection. You should be issued your boarding pass when you check in for the first leg of your flight.

I'd just clarify that Aidan is asking about two separately ticketed flights, purchased separately from different airlines, not a "connecting flight."

OK, I'd assumed that you were on a single ticket. If your plane arrives on time, then it is possible that you would make it, but if your flight is delayed you will likely have to buy a new ticket which could be very expensive. It is not something I'd risk. I'd spend a couple of nights in Stockholm, although that would probably eat into the savings from your low cost flight.

Stockholm is a long way from Paris or Rome. It is like flying into Seattle when you really want to visit San Diego.
