We are flying into Stockholm this Saturday and staying at the Grand Hotel Stockholm.
What is the fastest/cheapest way to get to our hotel?? 1) take Arlanda Express to central Stockholm, then taxi, OR 2) take taxi directly from airport??

The Arlanda Express is what we took last summer and it was perfect, it's easy to find in the airport and in 15 mins your in the heart of Stockholm. If you have a apple watch it is easy to pay for everything in Scandinavia because everyone takes apple pay, We took no local money and visited Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Even taxis take apple pay!

you could try Flygbussarna from Arlanda to Cityterminalen. It costs 129 SEK per person and you can use a credit card to tap and go when you get on the bus . It takes about 45 mins but it's a relaxing bus ride.
If you want to stay with the train, Arlanda Express is 320 SEK one way / 600 SEK RT. How many are in your party? It looks like they have discounts for 2 travellers one-way at 420 SEK; 3 travellers one-way, 520 SEK. Check their website at arlandaexpress.com

Arlanda Express + taxi will most likely be both cheaper and faster.
I was in Stockholm in May and there was a train derailment, so I ended up booking a taxi through Taxi Stockholm on their app. I think it ended up being $60ish?? It was worth it to me - very easy to use the app and prebook, the driver was waiting in the arrivals area and it was a quick 35ish min drive to the hotel from the airport. Would definitely use again. Also felt safe as I was traveling alone.
