Hi,
I watched a show on Sweden and I failed to catch the name of the island they visited. Anybody know the name of the island ? It was at the end of the show and has a lot of museams.
Thanks !
Which show? If you tell me a bit more about the island I might be able to help you.
Djurgarden?
Just a guess since its sometimes referred to as "museum island" on travel programmes I've seen. We went a few years ago, interesting sights to see.
If it was an island in Stockholm it is probably Djurgården. But there are somewhere around a quarter million islands in Sweden so there are a couple to choose from…
All of Rick Steves shows and accompanying transcripts are available on this website in the "Watch, Read, Listen" section. I have copied the link to the transcript of the Stockholm show. Good luck with your search.

I’m guessing it was Djurgården which has Skansen, the Vasa museum, the Nordic museum, Abba Museum, Thielska Gallery, and Prince Eugen’s Waldemarsudde. Stockholm is built on 14 islands.
