I am starting to do research on the train system in Sweden and Denmark for our upcoming trip in September. When we have travelled in the past, we have looked online at the time tables and just gone to the train station and purchased tickets. Are we able to do this in Sweden as well? Looking for insight. TIA.
Yes, but there is a risk that the departures you're interested in are sold out. And it will be expensive. Buying your long distance tickets in advance will save you a lot of money. Buy them at www.sj.se and avoid third party sites.
Thank you so much! We do know our dates for travel from Stockholm to Lund, so we will do that.
