Sweden during Christmas Markets period

Hello everyone!

I have a couple of questions regarding a trip I've planned out in my head this winter during the Christmas Market period, concretely 05-09 December.

The flight arrives in Stockholm at 9:30 am on the 5th of December (Friday), and my initial plan is for us to spend the Friday and the Saturday (full days) in Stockholm, exploring the Christmas markets and some of the city, with what time we'd have available.
On Sunday, early morning, using the SJ X2000 train which departs from Stockholm and leads to Malmo, it'd be ideal to arrive as early as possible on the Sunday in Malmo to make use of the additional Christmas Markets that operate weekends only (or more concretely, Thursday-Sunday). So we'd have the full Sunday for Malmo. On the Monday (8th of December), my idea was to take a train/bus to Copenhagen taking advantage of the Øresund Bridge closeness of the 2 cities, with the transport being an hour long from Malmo to Copenhagen and the tickets being somewhat cheap (if booked early enough).

Three full days for just Malmo might be more than enough, so I figured since the Christmas Markets in Copenhagen work every day of the week (or at least they have so far, and from what I'm reading it will not be different this year) we could spend one day in Copenhagen, depart early morning and come back late in the night to Malmo, so no overnight stay in Copenhagen.
We'd then still have the Tuesday (9th of December) left to explore Malmo a bit more before our late evening flight back which departs around 21:30.

I want to emphasize that this is something I've thought of as being easy to execute and maximize our sightseeing options, I do not want to offend anyone by saying that 2 or 3 days in these specific cities are more than enough, I do believe that even 3 or 4 days in one of these places can not be enough to experience its full charm and beauty, but I am just thinking of maximizing what I can see, since I've never been to any of these Scandinavian countries, travel options are very limited from my country and also the differences in economy are huge and I do not know when I will have the chance to visit them again, so in my head I'm thinking I would like to experience all 3 places if possible.

Would love to have a discussion on how realistic this plan is, is it too much in such a short span, is it fine to try and do this, I am open to a friendly conversation with someone who has experience in travelling to these countries or some local people.

Thank you in advance to anyone who takes their time to reply here.

I don't think there are any trains Stockholm-Malmö that weekend due to track works. The are only two direct trains Sunday afternoon, still with longer travel time than usual. You can do a detour via Gothenburg but it will take a long time.

Stockholm and Copenhagen has Christmas markets for tourists. The one in Malmö city center market is more for shoppers passing by than a destination. My favorite markets are only for a few days and some have an entrance fee, rather few tourists and some vendors might not accept cards (but rather an app called Swish that is for residents only). Can't find any dates yet but there is usually one at Katrinetorp in the Malmö outskirts that weekend.

You could stay in Stockholm and take a train Sunday afternoon. Or make use of the detour via Gothenburg and spend Sunday there. Maybe go to Gothenburg on Saturday evening. The Haga Christmas market is likely better than the one in Malmö city center. Nordstan also has a market.

Liseberg in Gothenburg and Tivoli in Copenhagen both have Christmas markets and decorations but doing both could be too much of the same or might not even be worth it at all if your budget is tight.
