Stockholm, Sweden to Copenhagen, Denmark by a sleeper car?

I am considering a future trip idea and was thinking of taking a train from Stockholm to Copenhagen. I am finding conflicting things online. I think there is a sleeper train from Stockholm to Malmö, Sweden and then switch trains to Copenhagen (30 min ride).

  • Would this be safe for two middle-aged women
  • What is the official link
  • What would be the average cost for 1st class accommodations
  • How difficult with the language barrier, navigating the train station etc would this be

Here is the Man in Seat 61's information re: trains from Stockholm to Denmark, which includes direct, daytime transport in about 5 hours. I didn't look closely, but if you're sharing a room on a sleeper train, one of you will very likely have to climb the ladder and sleep in the upper bunk.

To answer your questions:
Two middle aged women would be safe nearly anywhere in Sweden or Denmark.
Link in the link.
Cost in the link.
You are unlikely to face any language barrier in Stockholm, Malmo or Copenhagen, as nearly everyone (particularly anyone working in or around a train station) speaks English. I'm guessing the signs and announcements will be in English, as well.

Not that hard. The stations are pretty easy to navigate.
