We are a Canadian family of 5. Our children are 12 year old twins and a 15 year old. As the kids have grown it’s a real struggle to find accommodation for us to be comfortable while travelling. We are planning a trip to Iceland, Copenhagen, and Stockholm this summer and everyone is very excited! I’m having the most trouble finding VRBO or AirBNB-type accommodation (2 or 3 bedroom townhouses or apartments) for the Stockholm leg of our trip. Not many options and many are already booked even 6+ months in advance. We’d like to stay quite central. I’ve tried looking online for serviced apartment options, but am overwhelmed by the google results. Does anyone have recommendations on a good, reliable chain or something like that? We don’t need luxury, but we do like to be a bit more upscale and would like something nice and clean and safe.

Have you checked out options on booking.com? You might find something fitting your family there, then you could go direct to the property's website to try for a better rate. I'm a solo traveler most of the time--and a cheap one--so I have no personal experience to offer.

Without knowing dates, it’s harder. But I stayed in this 2 bedroom apartment and it might work. It currently shows availability, for much of summer. We all really liked it.

They manage more than one apartment, so the photos are a bit of a conglomerate. But one bedroom had a double (or queen) and a chair made into a bed (which could also be in the living room as some photos show). The other bedroom had twin beds. I think the sofa makes into a bed but we didn’t need that. It was up one flight of stairs and not far at all from the metro station.
