I'll be traveling to Stockholm in Oct 2014 with 2 other people. I have 2 questions, how is social scene in October, and are there any good tours to archipelago in October?

The Sweden Tourist Office has quite a bit of info online and is also a worthwhile stop in person when you arrive in the city. For nightlife listings, also check Time Out closer to your arrival. Rick recommends this archipelago tour which has departures all year, even if on a more limited schedule in winter.
