I've got 2-3 nights in Stockholm and trying to decide between the Hotel Reisen (in Gamla Stan) or the Elite Eden Park Hotel (near Humlegården). Looking for best location in general, with some nightlife and walkable to attractions. If you have another hotel that you loved, I'd be interested in that as well. Thanks!

Define best and what attractions are you looking for? What are your other plans for the trip?
They are in very different locations. You'll find night life around both hotels, although different. In Gamla stan it can be a bit touristy but also in general calmer. In Östermalm, the hotel is close to Stureplan which is a centre for night life in Stockholm, especially the more trendy, bordering on posh, night life.
The city is walkable, it's just a matter of how far you are willing to walk. None of the hotels are that close to a metro station, it's about a 5 minute walk or so. But both have a bus stop more or less just outside the entrance. An in general I'd say that Gamla stan has better access to public transportation.
