Stockholm Archipelago trip on our own?

Any guidance on how to do an archipelago trip on our own out of Stockholm? Rick suggests booking with Stromma. He also says the goal is to get beyond Vaxholm. We will be in Stockholm June 6 to 9, and the all day Stromma option which goes beyond Vaxholm is not available in early June. The 3 hour Stromma option is available, but does not go beyond Vaxholm. If we wanted to do an archipelago trip on our own getting beyond Vaxholm, how would we do it? Many thanks!!!

Pick an island or two that you want to visit and go there. The regular public transportation in the archipelago is run by Waxholmsbolaget, https://waxholmsbolaget.se. Apart from their normal ships, they have three old ships that make round trips to different islands. E.g. on Saturdays, Storskär leaves Stockholm 10.30 and makes a round trip to Möja and is back in Stockholm 18.55.
