I will be Stockholm October 26 to 28. I would like take a cruise in the archipelago for a day but after doing research I think that it may be to late in the year. Have any of you been able to visit the archipelago in late October, and if so where did you book your tickets?
It's certainly not too late. There are people living permanently in the archipelago and they want to be able to travel not only in the summer.
Badger, thank you for your reply. Are there websites for me to purchase tickets at or should I wait until I am in sweden. Do you think I will need to use public transportation instead of a tour company?
If you check the Stromma line, they show Archipelago tours in October.

I’d suggest that you might want to wait to book until you know what the weather is like. An archipelago tour is not something I’d want to do in the rain.
If you want some kind of tour, look at the options Strömma offers. The regular public transportation ferries are run by Waxholmsbolaget, https://waxholmsbolaget.se
