My wife and I would like to stay somewhere in the archipelago for 2 nights. Our aims are nice food, nice hotel, some walking/exploring. Any suggestions advice would be greatly appreciated…

Perhaps Sandhamn, Grinda or Utö would suit you. Have a look at the hotels first as there really aren't that many to choose from. If you prefer you could day trip once. Or even twice.
