Hello - our family of four (daughters 21 and almost 18) will be in Stockholm over Midsummer. I understand it's a big holiday for family and friends and many attractions will be closed. I have done some research and it seems Skansen would be a fun option for us to experience a Midsummer celebration. From what I understand they do the same celebration on Midsummer's Eve and Day. Would you recommend one day over the other? Thanks for the help.
Skansen should post a schedule of activities when you get closer to Midsummer. I would check the schedule closer to your visit to see whether the one day appeals more. I’d also consider the weather.
I visited Skansen on Midsummer’s Eve years ago. I do think it is a good activity for tourists since so many things are shut down.
Learn the little frogs dance :)

Laura - thanks for the help. Not sure I'm up for the dance...........my two left feet.
Små Grodorna works fine with two left feet :)
The current schedule for midsommar is a bit vague on their website, so I'd suggest to wait a bit more for more information. But there seems to be a bit more happening on midsummer's eve, so that is for the moment my suggestion.
