Short trip with teenage son - need advice!

I will be in Sweden in late april for a workshop. I will be in training Saturday and Sunday. We arrive Wednesday morning and leave again Monday night so we want to maximize our time.

I wondered if it made sense to try to go directly to Copenhagen Wednesday and return to Stockholm Thursday night and explore Stockholm together on Friday or if we should just plan to see as much of Sweden as we can together and leave Copenhagen for another adventure.

My son will be able to do some sightseeing on the weekend while I'm in the training

If I had a full 5 days and was flying into Arlanda, I would spend them all in and around Stockholm. In my opinion, you do not have enough time to go to Copenhagen. I spent 3 days in Stockholm and would have been happy to spend 2 more.

I agree with the above. I was in Sweden for 2 weeks last May with 2 teenagers. There is so much to see in Stockholm! It's so lovely and you can walk everywhere. The people and the city are beautiful.

We took the train to Copenhagen for 4 days and it was amazing. Such a gorgeous city but even with 4 days we felt rushed to see things. Better to take your time and enjoy Stockholm and have a nice fika (coffee break) while there. Swedes love a Fika!

Copenhagen deserves its own time and trip! Enjoy!
