I am a solo traveler. I will be taking the RS best of Scandinavia 14 day tour. I have some additional must do's and am trying to decide on pre or post tour. I am leaning toward post as I think this will increase my comfort level having my travel legs under me before striking out on my own. This is the current plan. Last day of tour ends in Bergen. Fly from Bergen to Copenhagen (I believe earliest flight is at 1100), get on a train at airport and travel to Ystad. Spend 2 nights and 1.5 days in Ystad visiting Wallander sites and Ales stenar. Take afternoon train back to Copenhagen and stay 2 nights. Visit Novo Nordisk device production facility and anything else I didn't have time for during the tour. Fly home from Copenhagen. Alternate plan would be to fly into Copenhagen, train to Ystad, train to Stockholm and begin tour. Thanks for your input.
Post tour will give you the confidence to travel by yourself to see these places. I would highly recommend arriving at least one day before your tour begins, so you can begin the RS tour rested from jet lag and ready for a wonderful adventure!
Arrive at least one day pre tour. On the tour i took a family lost first day of their tour because their plane from states was delayed...plus of coursemits good to hace a chance to recover from travel fatique.
I agree with arriving one day early for your tour, then doing the independent travel after your tour.
To find all flights between Bergen and Copenhagen, use Skyscanner: http://www.skyscanner.com/. On the randomly chosen date of June 22, there are nonstop flights as early as 6 AM.
Tack. Thank you for your suggestions, especially for the flights link!
