We will be visiting Skellefteå in June for approximately two weeks and were looking for some suggestions on places to visit and things to do. We will be traveling 2 adults in our 60’s and one fourteen year old.

I lived in Sweden for a couple years, but never got that far north. If you happen to be there June 22 to 23, research places you can go to celebrate Midsommar. Everything will be closed those days and you will want to see if there is a local community celebration that you can join. Also be sure to get some västerbotten cheese; it is made near Skellefteå and is one of the most popular cheeses in Sweden.
