Must do in Malmo, Stockholm, Linkoping, Norrkoping (and Copenhagen!)

Anyone have some tips for the above cities? I'll spending roughly a day or so in each of the cities. Looking for good museums, public activities, restaurants, etc.

Thanks in advance!

Hey!

I can only really speak for Malmo but I would say that if you are here during the summer time some of the nicest spots around are in the parks. Malmo is known in Sweden as being the city of parks and a walk through Slottsparken (or castle park) by the medieval fortress called "malmohus" or through the larger pildammsparken (only 10 minutes walk from Slottsparken) are great places to see swedes out and about enjoying ice cream and the sun. For a more "bohemian" vibe check out folkets park (or the people's park) near Mollevångstorget. This is a distinctively younger group usually out eatng falafel from a nearby vendor and having some beers. If you are here later in June or July, the city puts on free public concerts and events throughout the city and it won't be hard to find something going on in one of these parks.

Other good weather activities would be checking out Västra Hamnen (or West Harbour) near the famous turning torso building. There is a stretch of seaside docks/public seating next to the recently developed and modern residential area where you'll find many people out soaking up the sun and having an ice cream. There are also tours of the canals available by central station or you can rent your own paddle boat by the half hour near Gustav Adolfs Torg

If you are in Malmo with poor weather the aforementioned Malmohus is the home of several exhibitions including rotating art shows, Malmo/Skåne history and even an aquarium all for a single price. By the triangle train station in the middle of the town is the Malmö Konsthall (or art hall) which is a large contemporary art exhibition hall that is always free to enter.
