Hi all:
We are thinking about a day trip to Malmo from Copenhagen this summer... July. Suggestions on what to do there? My friend and I are traveling together with 4 early-teen boys.
Thanks for any suggestions!

I did this last year for about a half day trip. Took the train from CPH airport, then rented a bike near the Malmo train station and rode out along the beach, then worked my way through the park back to down town. I saw a comment on your other post about the option of taking the ferry from Helsingor. That probably would have been a better option than what I did. I believe you can do a big train loop also (CPH to Helsingor, ferry over, train south to Malmo, then back to CPH). Whatever you choose, be sure to take your passport (they're checked on the train or ferry).
Good point about the money- we can maybe grab a smalll amount at ATM.
Yes really we just want Io go to Sweden... maybe Malmø is not the best option?
I will look into Helsingborg and see what else i can find in Malmø....
Other ideas? Thanks!

One option would be a "day at the beach" in the Falsterbo/Skanor area, about 25-30 minutes from Malmo. https://visitskane.com/taxonomy/term/15 This is a very popular summer spot with easy and frequent bus connections from Hyllie station (first over the bridge from Denmark) or downtown Malmo - beautiful sandy beaches, great views of the Oresund Bridge, seaside lunch/ice cream spots etc. There is also an open-air Viking museum that might interest the boys http://www.fotevikensmuseum.se/d/en
You could also look at visiting Lund, the historic university town just 10 minutes from Malmo by train. Although the university won't be in session, it's a pretty town with a huge cathedral (oldest in Scandinavia https://visitskane.com/classic-attractions/lund-cathedral) on the campus, quaint "old town" area with tons of restaurants/cafes and a very interesting open-air museum "Kulturen" https://www.kulturen.com/en/kulturen-in-lund/. One other tip if your group is into soccer (based on your profile) - the Malmo soccer team (Malmo FF) is one of the best in Sweden with a very strong, loyal local following. Nice modern stadium right in the city - worth checking if they will be playing at home while you are there. Great fan atmosphere (flags, songs, etc) and family friendly. http://www.mff.se/sv-SE/in-english/info/the-club
