Looking for a good Swedish Restaurant in Stockholm.

We are staying at the First Hotel Reisen in Gamlastan and want to do a Swedish Smorgasbord. Any recommendations for good Swedish restaurant.

If you want to try smorgasbord, this is a very nice but pricey option, for a 'special occasion' feeling:

In the summer June-August, you can also get smorgasbord at the Skansen open-air museum which is well worth visiting anyway. Haven't eaten there myself, but heard it's good: http://www.skansen.se/en/restaurang-solliden

You might also want to try these places (no smorgasbord, but Swedish food), which are very close to your hotel - I stayed just a couple of blocks away and loved the location:
Tradition http://www.restaurangtradition.se/en/gamla-stan-2/
Gästabud https://www.facebook.com/Stockholms-G%C3%A4stabud-1405741463032603/menu/ (very small and no reservations fyi)
Gyldene Freden https://gyldenefreden.se/ (historic and a bit more $$)

If it doesn't have to be smörgåsbord, I can add Slingerbulten on Stora Nygatan to the list, well made swedish food. And they have pretty good lunch deals.

A smörgåsbord is really a special occasion meal so you won’t find many restaurants that offer this. The two that were previously mentioned are probably your best bets. Of the two recommended above, I would choose Verandan, but it is quite expensive.

If you are just looking for traditional Swedish food, Bakficken at the Opera House has some good options

If you want a very traditional, old-fashioned place, you might also try Prinsen which has many classic Swedish dishes on its menu.

Oaxen Slip and Oaxen Krog are great. They offer modern Swedish cuisine, and so it's not simply ubiquitous and pretentious fusion stuff that one can find anywhere else in the world. Do reserve in advance.
