Is a Purse & Carry on bag allowed on Lufthansa flight??

We will be flying to Sweden on Lufthansa soon and we wondered if there is a size to a woman's purse that can be carried on in addition to a carry on bag? I can see the carry on needs to be under 17.63 lbs and up to 22 x 14 x 9. Are there restrictions on a purse size and weight?
Thanks for your help with planning our trip.

Lufthansa stated cabin baggage is ONE bag up to 8 kg. Doesn't say anything about "plus a personal item" Best to call Lufthansa for clarification.

I was on a Lufthansa flight and I had my carry-on and a small backpack. They asked me and several other passengers to fit their purses into the backpack or carry-on. Lucky for me that my purse was very small and that I had room in my backpack.

While the "Carry-on baggage on Lufthansa" guidance for Economy Class only specifies "1 piece of carry-on baggage up to 8 kg" and specifies dimensions (55 x 40 x 23 cm), if you page down to "Other carry-on baggage rules", guidance states:

Also allowed in the cabin: another item of carry-on baggage (max. 30
x 40 x 10 cm, e.g. handbag, laptop bag)
, one baby carrier per child
or a child’s car seat or a foldable pushchair/buggy (may have to be
transported in the cargo hold) and wheelchairs/orthopaedic aids (e.g.
walking aids).

In English units, the "another item" should be less than approximately 12" x 16" x 4", basically fitting under the seat.
