Insect repellent for Sweden/Norway? Aero Island?

Close to sweet water, e.g. lakes or very slow rivers.

In some areas, not in other. It also depends on the season. But usally not in the cities.

We were in Scandinavia ( Sweden Norway Denmark Aero)
in June and didn't notice an insect problem there.

I always have a few insect repellent towelettes packed in my purse "just in case" on any trip. The individually packaged towelettes take up almost no weight or space, aren't treated as a liquid, and are available if I need them. Often they stay in their package and return home with me. Other times, I thankfully pull them out and use them when necessary.

There are mosquitoes in every country and on every continent (including Antarctica) in the world.

We just returned and we had at least three evening meals outdoors where we were very grateful we packed bugspray.
