How many days in Stockholm before a cruise?

We will be taking a Baltic cruise next summer that starts in Stockholm. We board the ship at noon and stay in Stockholm overnight, leaving at 2:00 p.m. the next day. We plan to visit Brugge/Ghent before flying to Stockholm and want to spend a few extra days in Stockholm before the cruise. Looking for input on how many extra days to plan and if there are suggestions on other places to visit near Stockholm.

You can search the Travel Forum using the box at the top of the page for all sorts of ideas regarding Stockholm. I love it even though small cities and villages are typically my preferred locations while traveling about. Suggest at least two full days. Have a grand trip and report back with your thoughts.

Stockholm is a beautiful city. You can walk most places and also take small ferries. I would stay at least four days. I see you are from LA so will be dealing with jet lag and a time change of 9 hours so give Stockholm enough time to recover and also to see the city’s highlights.

BLL, I sent you a private message. I believe that we're on the same cruise for next summer and I wanted to contact you regarding a private tour of St. Petersburg which I set up already. I'm looking for 2 people to join.

Two to three full days in Stockholm, great neighborhoods to visit, bike tour, museum visits and city highlights. I was there this summer, Airbnb for 5 nights had plenty of things to do.

We are staying in Stockholm for two nights prior to taking the train to Copenhagen for an 11 night Norway Arctic Circle cruise next June.

We are staying at:
First Hotel Reisen
Skeppsbron 12
Stockholm 111 30
SE

The hotel is located in the city center.
