Hi.
Any recommendations for a 3 day trip to Gotland?
Must see towns, villages and outdoor adventures and activities, restaurants or food trucks? We’ll be staying in Visby.
Thanks. Amy

Three days sounds like two nights, in which case my suggestion is to stay in Visby.
I'm not sure I would call it a restaurant, but don't miss Glassmagasinet in the harbour. They claim to have Europe's largest selection of ice cream. I don't know if it's true or not, but according to their website they have 356 different flavours.
Concentrate on experiencing Visby thoroughly the first day. This means wandering the quaint streets and church ruins and along the outside of the encircling medieval wall. After that you can go wherever strikes your fancy.
I too was thinking of a 2-3 day trip to Visby, Gotland from Stockholm, July 3 to July 5.
After researching DestinationGotland ferry/bus prices yesterday, it looks like it will cost about $225 per person roundtrip for the bus and ferry. This seems high to me. Am I missing more economical options?
Any other suggestions on getting to/from Visby?
Thanks
Bob
I know hotel rates in Visby vary by date, and I imagine the train and ferry fares do, too. There are a lot of summer festivals on Gotland. By tweaking your dates, you might find lower costs--or they might go higher.
I ended up spending about 30 hours in Visby at the cost of just one hotel night; that helped to keep my cost down. However, I was staying in Oskarshamn rather than Stockholm, and there's a lot more to see and do in Stockholm. My money-saving technique was probably not rational. And the ferry schedule from Stockholm might not allow so much time on the island with just one hotel night.

But when I do a dummy booking I see prices around 1500 kr for a daytime return trip, much cheaper if you are willing to take an early morning or late evening departure.
