Gothenburg vs Malmö

Just starting to plan my summer vacation and looking for some help. my plan is to fly into Copenhagen and out of Helsinki. It is the middle of the trip that is up in the air. I have upto a month in total for trip and will be going in July
I am thinking of a week with Copenhagen with day trips
One week in Stockholm with day trips
And one week in Helsinki with day trips
It it's between Copenhagen and Stockholm I am looking for help
One option is to take the train to Gothenburg for three days or spend a few days in Malmö
Is Malmö worth a few days or just a day trip from Copenhagen
I love museums, art and history.

We found Gothenburg a culturally rich city, and the Liseberg amusement park an interesting slice of local life - not at all like Disneyland. Note that there is a significant modern art museum outside Copenhagen called "Louisiana", which we did not have time to take the S-train to see. Are you skipping Norway?

It is possible for Scandinavia to be hot in the summertime, and there is little air conditioning.

Yes skipping Norway this trip. Will save it for a future trip. How long would you give to Gothenburg?
