Just trying to book a train ticket from Gothenburg to Copenhagen Airport on the morning of July 21st. It looks like the trip starts at Gothenburg central train station but is a bus instead of train to Molndal station. Is this a regular thing or is there work being done on the tracks? Should I start from a different train station? Also, it seems to be a regional train that makes lots of stops. I just want to make sure I'm not missing a faster train.
We need to be at the airport by 11ish.
Thank you!
There is some major track maintenance being done just south of Gothenburg this summer, so all trains are cancelled between Gothenburg and Mölndal until some time in August. The maintenance, combined with a few other, also means that SJ have cancelled their high speed trains along the West coast this summer.
In reality it does not make a huge difference if you're starting in Gothenburg. Mölndal is just a suburb and it's probably just as easy to take the tram to Mölndal station as it is to take the tram to Gothenburg central station.
Also, where are you looking for tickets?
