We're trying to prepare a contingency plan in the event our Iceland Air flight later this month Boston to Reykjavik to Stockholm is cancelled or delayed (if geologic turmoil in Iceland results in an eruption similar to the one in 2010). I've got the basic contingency plan in place but we still need to get from Stockholm to Kirkenes, Norway to board a ship (trains don't run as far north as Kirkenes). Did the airlines fly within Scandinavia during the 2010 eruption or were all flights grounded (including trans-Atlantic flights of course)?
