Ferry to Vaxholm

Anyone know what the fare is from Strömkajen, Central Stockholm to Vaxholm on the Waxholmsbolaget ferry? I've searched and I can't seem to find it, the English page says "The fare is based on how long your journey is.. A single journey ticket for adults is from SEK 61 to SEK 186." Since most of the site is in Swedish, I can't figure out what the zones may be. Also, is it true that this journey is covered on the SL Travelcard? Thanks!

Thank you Badger, so helpful!! So round trip would be 208 kr, which is actually more expensive than the 24hr SL-card which is 180 kr.

I don't know what you're planning, but it this is a longer stay in Stockholm a 72 h pass or 7 day pass is even better value.

Any SL ticket is valid to Vaxholm, including a single SL ticket for 43 SEK.

@Anders - thanks for the tip. From what you are saying and going to the page that @Badger referenced with the map, my understanding is that you can travel on Waxholmsbolaget all the way to Vaxholm with either a single SL ticket (43 kr) OR by purchasing the Waxholmsbolaget ticket (104 kr). And if you want to continue beyond Vaxholm, you would need to then purchase a Waxholmsbolaget ticket for the rest of the trip. Is that correct?

The so-called “SL area” stretches from Strömkajen (in the city centre)
to Vaxholm, Rindö, Tynningö and some smaller islands nearby. If you
are travelling within the SL area, you only need an SL ticket. You can
also travel with a Waxholmsbolaget ticket if you prefer, but if you
already have an active SL ticket, it will be cheaper to use that. If
your journey extends beyond the SL area, you will need to buy a
Waxholmsbolaget ticket for the part of your journey outside the area.
For example, if you are travelling from Strömkajen to Grinda, you can
use your SL ticket between Strömkajen and Vaxholm, and then continue
with a Waxholmsbolaget ticket from Vaxholm to Grinda. If you already
have an SL ticket, you only need to buy a Waxholmsbolaget ticket for
the part beyond Vaxholm.

Yes, combining an SL ticket (regardless if it's a pass or a single ticket) and a Waxholmsbolaget ticket is the cheapest option when traveling further out.

The Cinderella boats are about 390 kr round trip, with only two boats per day, which often sell out ahead of time in summer.  But the ferry with single SL ticket is about 86 kr, with 2-4 boats per hour, and no need to reserve ahead.  Seems like an easy decision? Even just for the flexibility, never mind the cost savings.
