Euros in Sweden

I know that the local currency in Sweden is the Swedish Krona.
Is the Euro also accepted in Sweden?

Not really. If you find a shopkeeper that takes Euros, he's going to short you on the exchange rate. It's best to use a credit card anytime you can and pickup a few Krona out of a bank ATM for pocket cash.
It's a pretty expensive place, I warn you.

If you need to exchange money Forex seems to give the best rates. Avoid changing money in the airport if you can because the rates there for changing money are much higher than those in the city.

Sweden would rather you never use cash, even for the smallest item. Use a Credit Card that does not charge you for the transaction/exchange and use it exclusively. If you feel better with the equivalent of $20.00 in your pocket then go to the ATM at some point for that, but you will be getting rid of it, willy nilly on your way out of Sweden.

It depends where you live and to where you usually travel whether or not you find Sweden expensive. I find it less expensive than London or Paris so no worries.
