Rick mentions 1 boat company to the palace are there more?

We took what I believe was the only boat to Drottingham and loved going that way,

I think Strömma is the only company that has boat tours to Drottningholm. The boats on Göta canal pass the palace but do not stop there.
But there is a bus stop just outside the palace so it's easy to get to on your own.

Suki and Badger are correct. Last summer we took the Stromma boat to Drottingholm and the bus back. The bus stop is at the top of the walkway when leaving the palace, on your left. You can see it from the walkway.

Can you just show up or is it necessary to reserve in advance? We are traveling on the first weekend
in June. We would like to have the best weather day so would prefer to wait. Thanks for all your help.

We booked the morning we wanted to go online (using IPhone). We travelled in August.
