Next week we're arriving in Stockholm. Is the Slussen area of Sodermalm (near Gamla Stan) still a construction zone? Are there any other areas that are torn up? Any advice that would help us avoid retracing our steps or walking long detours would be most welcome. Tack!

Yes, Slussen is still a mess--or was as of August 14.
I don't remember other areas of significant disruption.

It is, if everything goes according to plan the new Slussen will be ready in 2026. But that is the only major construction area in central Stockholm.
