We flew from Rome to Stockholm and suddenly had problems with our Chase Bank Visa debit card – the kind with the chip – try to use it for a vending machine to buy bus tickets at the Stockholm airport to take the bus into Stockholm. It took our money and said " approved" then the screen said "transaction aborted" but the money has been taken out ot account and we have to dispute the charges. The driver actually got someone to help translate and they let us on the bus and believed our story. Actually my capital one visa card is not working either because it turns out you need to have a pin for the ticketing machine. Tomorrow we have to take a bus or train back to the airport from downtown Stockholm so that we can fly back to USA. Does anyone know if you can purchase tickets directly on the train from the driver?
