Hi, What have been your experiences renting a car in Dalarna? If I took a train from Stockholm C to Falun, I am assuming that I will be able to pick up a car at the station. But how do I pre-order a car? And, very important, are cars with automatic transmissions available, or are they all stick shift?

I haven't done it myself, but I can't imagine it's very different from renting a car in other towns. You can prebook a car using the internet. Electric cars are becoming very common, so if you want to avoid a manual transmission that can probably be done.
And apart from car rental companies, petrol stations often have rental cars as well that can be a good option.
