planning a trip to Stockholm aug 8 - 11, 2016. saw a best western in the vanadiswagen area. is this area close enough to the major sights in the city?
suggestions on other hotels are welcome. price range about $180 - 200 per night. pref with breakfast.

I don't know the hotel, but Vanadisvägen is in a residential area. The part of the city is known as Vasastan. You are only a couple of blocks from the Odenplan tunnelbana and the #2 bus runs near the hotel. Stockholm is not a large city, so it is quite a reasonable location.
There is a popular traditional Swedish restaurant called Tranen at Odenplan.
