I am looking for ideas for neighborhoods to book a hotel or BnB in Stockholm. We will be using public transportation, we like to be in an area that is interesting, walkable for cafes, grocery store, etc. Thank you!

Pretty much anywhere in the city will be walkable with access to public transit.
If it were me, I’d look at Södermalm, Vasastan, or Östermalm.

Maybe Södermalm or Gamla stan? As long as you are reasonably close to a metro station you are fine.
