We would like to visit a town/village in the Artic Circle. We would like to take an overnight train or fly from Stockholm. What town/village do you recommend?

August 2020. Looking for a view of life in the Arctic Circle that is accessible by train or air.

To be honest, it is not that different from life south of the arctic circle. And August is too early for the northern lights, and a bit late for the midnight sun. Although even if the sun will go below the horizon for a couple of hours it will not be dark.
But on option could be Kiruna, the biggest town in Swedish Lapland. Easy to reach by direct overnight train from Stockholm. A bit about Kiruna on a BBC travel show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKHVIYeeuac
