We will be landing at Arlanda quite late and one of the advantages of having a rail pass is use of The Arlanda Express. I understand that when you use the pass for discounts on various ferries in Sweden you are not charged for a day on your rail pass, so I wondered if the use of the pass to get on the Arlanda Express will charge me one day off my rail pass? Should that be the case perhaps I should just purchase a ticket on The Arlanda Express separately .
Hi Hank,
The Arlanda Express is covered by your railpass, which means, it will use a day of your pass. If you have an extra day on your pass, then by all means use it for this train. Otherwise, you can just buy the ticket at the airport (280 SEK= about $37) and save the day of your railpass for a longer, more expensive trip.
