The Swedish Glass museum and House of Immigrants Museum sound really cool but I think we'd need to add another day or two to our itinerary to visit Vaxjo since we are staying in the Stockholm area. Has anyone gone there and is it worth the effort?

The glass region is a good 6 hour drive from Stockholm and you really need a car to explore the area. I'd skip it on a short visit.

Thank you for letting me know that the Immigrant museum that attracted me is no longer open! Rick Steve's Scandinavia book made it sounds as though the area and the museum were really good. Now I can let go of my idea of visiting the Vaxjo area.
